Coudersport Community Based Outpatient Clinic Temporary Closure and Urgent Care Hours Limited - VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System has announced that the Coudersport Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) which is open Mondays and Thursdays will be temporarily closed, effective April 6, 2020 until further notice. In addition starting April 5, 2020 the Urgent Care Center hours at the Bath VA will be 8:00am to 6:00pm 7 days a week. (04/02/2020)

Telehealth Expands to Include GeroFit Program - Donald Van Epps, an 86-year-old Pittsford Army Korean War Veteran, joined GeroFit over 3 years ago and has been dedicated to the program attending at least three days a week. What demonstrates his commitment to the program is that even when he is away six months of the year, he uses his free VA issued iPad to video in at 8:00am to take both the chair and floor exercise classes. Update on the Entrance Bridge to the Bath VA Medical Center - The entrance bridge to the Bath VA Medical Center is closed for major structural renovation. It was scheduled to reopen in September 2019. However, the opening date has been tentatively moved to January 2020 due to learning more steel members in the structure were corroded than expected. 2019 OW/MIA Recognition Ceremony - This year’s guest speaker is Bruce Whitmarsh, Director of Chemung Valley Museum. Mr. Whitmarsh has been with the Chemung County Historical Society since September 2010 Mr. Whitmarsh will speak about the history of the Civil War POW camp located in Elmira, NY known as “Hellmira” that was in operation from 1860-1864. VETERANS CLINIC RELOCATING TO WELLSBORO - In an effort to further improve services to Veterans in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, the Bath VA Medical Center, in conjunction with Tioga County, is relocating the Veterans Clinic in Mansfield to Wellsboro, PA. The relocation of the Clinic will improve operations, efficiency and Veteran access to care. (02/24/2015)
